Hi @ctph Lots of factors to take into consideration here; browser, internet speed, location, third party apps, amount of content on page, etc. What is the name of the site you are trying to edit? I can take a look from my end for you.

I'm very sorry for the frustration. It looks like there's an error on the live site possibly caused by a third party app. I see you have quite a few apps installed, but there's also a script setup in Settings>SEO>Header. I would first suggest removing the script and any apps to see if that helps. Please keep in mind that you are connecting from far away and you may experience lag due to this. The other sites that are working for you may have more world-wide servers that they utilize.

Thanks for sharing that, @TAT. I'm not aware of any issues with the newer dashboard causing that, although it doesn't hurt to try that to see if helps.

Hello Adam,
Having spent a good 45 minutes chatting with Customer Service Agent, Bree B, she eventually suggested trying the old dashboard to see if that had any impact and yes it did. Instead of waiting anything up to 3 minutes for the newer dashboard to take me to my site, the old dashboard took me there in less than 20 seconds. It's something when a Pro Account member with grandfather rights is more or less accused of being a liar because Weebly and those I chat with online can't reproduce the same issue/s..
I've had many run-ins with Weebly over the years and not once have Weebly apologised for the problems they have caused it's users and since Weebly was taken over by Square I think the customer service as hit rock bottom, but then again, it was never really that good anyway.

This response is a line of bull. This is happening consistently and Weebly doesn't even load, you get a blank screen. When Weebly starts asking about other applications, internet connections, WiFi etc these are buzzwords for we do not know what is going on and we cannot fix it. Weebly has not responded to our concerns about these issues at all.

Hi Stuart. I've responded to each of your last comments regarding this. If we cannot duplicate the issue, we have to narrow down the root of the problem. Following the above steps is the first way we can eliminate an issue one by one.

Hello Stuart my name's Dave and like you and a good many others at Weebly I too have experienced the slowwww loading site editor. Now i dont work for Weebly but i do own 2 websites both hosted on the Weebly platform. Whether its because i have grandfather rights as a Pro Account member or whether its because i always lose my cool with a Customer Service Agent over being accused of it must be my fault or the internet fault or super fast fibre fault or browser fault or a bird sitting on the line fault but its never Weebly's fault.
Anyway try changing your dashboard back to the old style and hopefully it might do the trick. It as returned my site editor back the fast speed it used to be
Right click the arrow side of your name top right hand corner and scroll down to dashboard click revert to old dashboard and your slow site editor should be quick again. and hopefully no blank pages !

This is my problem also and I am told rubbish that it is internet speed, so i get better internet but this didn't solve the problem. Now I am told nothing can be done!! You can't edit...totally amazing and frustrating as my sites are now ruined.
This is what I posted
"All my sites I cant load pages in edit mode. I have upgraded my internet to broadband but I still cant edit. This is a FAULT of WEEBLY as I have eliminated the internet source and my computers. I have 2 computers and both freeze when trying to edit weebly. Since December I have had this problem and if you look into the history of my weebly u will see this. I need it fixed!!! Loading this page takes 2 minutes - https://ac-units.weebly.com/ It makes no difference if i edit using explorer or chrome. This page wont load https://ac-units.weebly.com/english-units.html Prior to December it did load so you cant say the page is too busy."

Apologies for the misunderstanding, @Shellie. We had an unrelated issue that was occurring this past week for users trying to load the editor in AU/NZ. That issue has been fixed, but it does appear that your particular issue is still ongoing and isolated to your site.
Do you have third party code added to the page that won't load? I noticed you have several embedded iframes on others pages and I'm wondering if something from a third party is timing out? I can't load the page to confirm, though.

Hi Shellie...
Your page https://ac-units.weebly.com/english-units.html exceeds 35 MB in html-size which is far beyond average for webpages (you should aim for less than 2 MB).
And most of the images on the page (I haven't looked through them all) are several times bigger than needed. Shrink the images acoordingly and my guess is, your loading speed will increase dramatically.
Hope you get it solved 🙂

Having been chatting to a Weebly Customer Support agent for almost 45 minutes, over the same issue as you and everyone else are experiencing, it may be something to do with the new style dashboard. I have returned to the old style dashboard and its gone from slowwww to fast.
Right click the arrow side of your name top right hand corner and scroll down to dashboard click revert to old dashboard and if like me your slow site editor should be quick again.

I am having the same problem. Not only is Weebly editor so slow but when I do website speed tests on my sites the main things slowing my sites down is Weebly's "editmysite" their formatting stuff which is all things I am unable to change
