Hi, I recently upgraded my old plan from starter to pro. The first time I draged the search box element to the top of the home page it did not show as visible anywhere on the page, however after publishing it appears in the footer section bottom left in the live site but not in the editor.
I have tried changing themes but this has failed to help.
Please can you tell me how I can remove the search box from the footer?
Many thanks

We've had trouble reproducing this kind of thing in the past, but once a while an element will get stuck in a content area that is outside of what you normally edit in the editor. I've removed this for you, so all you need to do is publish your site.

Hi @RJT. Were you able to sort this out? It looks like you added the search bar to the Hide app so that it will only display on large desktops. Thanks for verifying.

Hi @Bernadette
No I have been unable to sort this out.
The search box in the hide element is only on the home page in the main section.
The issue is with a search box that has appeared in the footer, is not visible in the editor and as such I cant remove it.
Regards

It's the code under your Google Analytics script. Begins with <style> and ends with </style>

You have some html code in Settings>SEO>Header. I think this is where the search box is coming from... If you delete the second code in this area it will go away. Just make sure to save and publish.

Is it okay if I take a look and publish for you? Do you remember how you originally added the search bar? I'm wondering if it is a ghost element in the footer...

Hi Bernadette
I added the search bar at the same time I upgraded from "Starter" to "Pro" on the 7th of September.
I had thought it may have been an issue with the theme and so purchased a theme from Baamboo Studios, however the issue remained after.
Please feel free to take a look, your help is much appreciated.
