SSL not configured

Hello!

About 1 week ago I noticed my website was no longer secure. I searched around for some solutions and decided to disable and reenable my SSL directly from the General Settings. But it gave me a "SSL is being configured. Check back later" message for about 4 days. I found another solution on the forums to remove any code elements that may contain http:// instead of https://. I removed them, unpublished and republished my site, and then reenabled the SSL certificate. I'm getting the same message and will give it some time, but wanted to know if this was the best solution?

Also, I had a question about site ownership. I created the site for a personal client, and now want to give them control of the account (with their email). They are already in the site as an editor, but will this cause any problem if I change the owner email from mine to theirs?

Thank you so much!

Thank you for confirming. I'm not sure of the exact issue with the SSL, but the site is now loading properly.

There's only one website in the account, and you can easily update the email to the new owner under the Account Settings page.

Some account have a different process for updating the email address, so please let me know if you do not see the option to edit the email, or if you run into any errors. 😊

Hi there. I have the same issue where the SSL seems to be stuck at "SSL certificate is being configured. Check back later." I don't think there is any bad html anywhere. Why would everything change all of a sudden? The site is www.conradgregory.com and my account is under pascalegregory7@gmail.com.

Hi @pgregory 😊

I just wanted to confirm that the site is loading securely on my end. Please let us know if you do not see the SSL working on the site from your browser. Thanks!

Thank you for following up @Bernadette . I figured out with someone from Support via Chat yesterday afternoon. There was an old cname record that had to be removed. Have a good night.

Hello,

For my website: www.leecell.org, I'm having a similar issue where my page settings get stuck on "SSL certificate is being configured. Check back later" with nothing happening. No pop-ups or alerts about DNS settings or anything like that. I've already tried disabling and re-enabling and unpublishing and republishing to no avail. Help would be appreciated!

Thanks for reaching out, @EnglishLearning

It looks like your domain was pointed to the wrong IP address, but I was able to update that for you. The site should be loading properly now. 😊

I have the same issue. It has been more than 24 hours now with the "SSL certificate is being configured. Check back later." notice. Any tips?
