Rich text using Square and syncing with Weebly -- possible?

We had our Square and Weebly syncing. When I went to update today, I saw that I could unsync to use rich text, which really helps highlight important points for our customers.  Very helpful is also the ability to provide links. I clicked the toggle to unsync Square and Weebly, and the website looked exactly as I wanted, so I wasn't quite sure what the difference was with it synced and unsynced.

Unfortunately, I just found out. All my customers are receiving receipts with the old item description, which says the items will ship in June. It is already July... I have updated it and synced, but I have lost all my formatting. Surely your IT people have some way to fix this so we can use rich text and still sync and have the right information on our receipts, yes?? Thank you for your time! Smiley Happy

Thanks for posting, @recipesyohio. It isn't possible to sync rich text right now because rich text isn't supported for item descriptions in Square. Hopefully that will change, though, so we can sync those! In the meantime, if you want rich text you'll need to turn off syncing and then update the text in both  Square and Weebly.

Oh, I can do that!!  I didn't know that was an option. Can you point me in the right direction to be able to edit both? Right now, I go to "Online Store" on my Square home menu, then "website" and "edit site."  Thank you again!

No problem! To disable syncing descriptions, go to Settings > Square Sync from the dashboard. Once that is off you can edit the descriptions in your Square library and Square Online Store library separately.
