Redirecting changed Weebly URL to revised Weebly URL on same site

I found when I copied a page, I did not remove the appended number code:

/artistic-director-conductor-537461.html

I changed the URL to:
/artistic-director-conductor.html

And added a 301 redirect so the Google results would pick up the proper page. However, I'm getting a 404 page instead. Does the change need to propogate to multiple servers? Do I need to restore the bad naming convention?

It looks like the URL you entered in your redirect is missing a letter "L" on the end. If you add that and re-publish it should fix it for you, @callmekko.

Oops, missed that! How long will it take to propogate?

Thanks!

That should be pretty much instant as soon as you change it and re-publish. Smiley Happy

Missed this response, found it today and realized I hadn't republished after the last change. The redirect is now working as expected. Thanks for the extra set of eyes.
