Import site from backup

A company built a site for us on their Weebly account and we had to terminate our relationship with them. They sent us a zip file with the entire Weebly site. Is there a way to import than and have it pull in the entire site design and content easily?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Thanks for posting, @sanzari. It would not be possible to import that back into an account, so you'd need to use the images and text contained within to rebuild the site.

none of the html pages from the zip archive are showing anything!  it's a good thing i still have the images.  you guys really should have a weebly -> weebly import option.  redoing everything from a backup that doesn't show placement or text from previous download is just a waste of my time.  I also use this plateform for several subscriptions and spend good money here because of ease of use.  Wasting time is wasting money.

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, it is not possible to upload a site onto the Weebly platform. If you are bringing a site over to Weebly the only option is to rebuild from scratch.

Absolutely agree!!! What can be simpler than importing their own code into their own site? Yet I have been complaining about it for YEARS and nothing is done Smiley Sad

More than that: I am trying to break my site into a couple separate ones and tried to just copy the original but this also seems to cause insurmountable problems - pages are not copied properly, information missing...

I am also working with WIX and it is a completely different story. Weebly is just either unprofessional service provider or/and has incompetent tech support team Smiley Sad Will never recommend anybody to use this software!
