Images appear distorted on the homepage intermittently

The images on the homepage appear stretched and distorted when loaded into the screen about 25% of the time I bring the page up. When I reload the page, it looks normal. I have had other people load into the page and expereince this as well. Anyone know how to solve this issue? I am looking to avoid clients loading up the page and having this issue.

The one image that becomes distorted is due to low quality image (It is stretched). The second 1 seems fine
