How to hide a category in the storefront

Why when I look at Weebly help files to design my store there is an option for "Show in store front" but when I create a category on my site I don't see this option? I am looking to have a private category that can only be accessed from a link on my main site which requires a password to access. Attached is 1) A picture of Weebly's site help that shows the option and 2) a picture of my screen missing the field I am talking about. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey there! Sorry for the confusion. The Storefront is a legacy page type that automatically placed store items and categories. As it's no longer in place in recent store sites, the option wouldn't do anything. Is there an area you're looking to remove the category from?

What we are looking for is to have certain catagories only accessable by following the link that we provide to certain customers. We have several customers that offer custom content for their employees but don't want the general public to access the items. What we would like is just to hide the category from general public and provide the link to those customers with permission to purchase those items.

Okay! By default, the categories won't appear anywhere on the public site unless you set them to appear in a Category, or they're a subcategory of such categories. Is there somewhere particular they're appearing you'd like them gone from?

I understand that we can choose which categories to show on my site, but once any item that displays on the site is selected, it takes the customer to my store page, where everything is visible. What I want to do is hide an entire category from displaying on my store navigation.
