Help customizing button text for different categories in shop.

As the title says, I've got multiple categories in my shop page and I would like to edit the button text to enter each category to say something different. The trouble I'm having is that when I edit one button it seems to have a global effect on all the buttons in that page. As an example, I have two categories in my shop section and I would like one button to say "shop" and the other to say "peruse". Is it possible to do this? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post a link to your site? Without customizing the css it wouldn't be possible. Although perhaps you could use a third party app to create the buttons yourself.
