Formatting Paragraphs

I'm having trouble using the editor to change the paragraph format.  On my main page I want to put a paragraph of text, but the default line spacing is too big.   I was able to find the Change Font menu on the left, which I assume is the right menu. When I highlight the paragraph as soon as I click an option like Line Height the highlight disappears and the text does not get modified.  I'm assuming (hoping) this is an easy fix...

Okay, I think I figured it out.  I was trying to edit a paragraph, but instead of creating a new text box or section I was trying to put my paragraph in the same box as my title.  I will play around with this and hopefully get back on track.

Thanks so much to Bernadette and Whitemonkey for your kind help.  Cheers...

Hi @KHE You might also want to check your default line height for the element you are using, i.e. Text Element. Click Themes>Change Fonts>Paragraph Text to double check.

Can you also please post a link to the page you are trying to edit?

Thanks for your reply, Bernadette.  The line height is 'auto'.  Do I need to publish the page in order to send a link?

Yes, please. Is the page ready to be published? You can always use a temporary subdomain if not. Or, you can let me know the page name and I can try to check in the editor.

If u hit RESET it resets the fonts in that category.. be it paragraph text or titles , to the defaults  as set in the theme...

From left side   u can adjust   FONTS   text size    line spacing..   it does work!!!   And any adjustment there  wil be  replicated acros the board...  so if u r adjusting   paragraph text    ANY CHANGES will affect  all paragraph   text.

I just tried the following:
From https://www.weebly.com/editor/main.php#/
I clicked Theme, Change Fonts, Paragraph Text, Line Height. I changed from auto to 15 (14, 13...)
there is no change to the appearance of the text displayed. When I hit reset, line height goes back to auto but again, nothing on the page changes.

I'm imagining there must be something subtle I am overlooking. I just don't know enough about this to troubleshoot.

The margins might be too small for u to see...

Adjusting line height (spacing between the lines)from 13 -15  is pretty darn small   try increasing    letter spacing  from default to 2        and   changing the font to something outrageous.    BE sure to publish ur site   and view it   as everyone else would.  Not just viewing it thru the editor.   Try viewing it on a smart phone..

Hi @KHE

the menu on the left adjusts  every thing per se  and not for any highlighted area..

I just tried to make changes in the menu on the left (style, size, color, line height, etc) and nothing on the page seems to change in response, including Reset.
