Embed Code not working for Bravenet Counter

I have used the awesome counter provided from Bravenet on my webpages for many years.  When I tried to put the HTML/CSS javascript code into the Embed Code box for my new homepage at Weebly.Com, the CSS javascript doesn't show up properly.  See the attached snapshots:

1. HTML/CSS javascript code into the Embed Code box

2. This is exactly what it looks on my webpage.image

What is wrong with the HTML or CSS javascript code?  Please help with the appropriate code to put into the Embed Code box.  Thank you.

https://alletvlinks.weebly.com

Scroll down to reach the "siren" animated gif and notice the "Visitors" word. That is where I am having problem with CSS/Javascript for the Bravenet counter that doesn't show up.

See my current webpage.

You will see the Bravenet Counter at the bottom of that page.

Hope it helps.

You have SSL enabled for your site, but your code is not secure. If you add and "s" to the end of http in your code it will work. Smiley Happy

@Bernadette:  so Bernadette does in mean that the files or images you are linking to also have to be SSL enabled?  What would you do if the source is not https?

With the recent Google changes requiring SSL we are noticing a lot more issues with the embed code element. If the code does not include the secure url link then it will just display a blank, white box. Or the website will display as "mixed content warning".  *Usually adding the "s" will fix the code, although if not you can request an updated code from the third party.

When you say files/images are you talking about external files/images or the ones you would link through Weebly? Even if they are external, though, I'm not sure the same error would display since the content is not being displayed through the website. Does that make sense? I'll double check with tech support and let you know. Smiley Happy

@Bernadette:  Thanks Bernadette.  Let me see if I can explain it better by giving example:

Let us say I have a site with SSL enabled.  And I have another site called NO-SSL.weebly.com that is not SSL enabled.

I want link a file in the SSL enabled site as follows

        <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://NO-SSL.weebly.com/files/theme/demo3.css" />

would that work or I would need to make my NO-SSL site to SSL site and use https?

Ooh great question, @bobafett! I don't believe so, but let me consult with Adam. By the way, I just noticed your avatar is a turtle! I always assumed it was a zoomed in Boba Fett because of the colors. Smiley LOL

@Bernadette:  Thanks.  Yes I am a turtle - lazy and slow.  Can say something about how you come accross?  It is meant as a complement - no criticism.  I think you have a very distinct style vs Adam or Erin.  You come accross as a person who would like to help, who would take extra step to help..  I believe you connect more with people. Even when someone posts a stupid idea you say,"That is an innteresting suggestion blah...blah blha".  Adam would just file it.  I am more like Adam.  My wife is more like you.

Thanks @bobafett Smiley Happy

I'm nowhere near as technical as you or Adam, but I hope to be! Lots of brushing up to do.

@Bernadette:  I am not technical at all.  You probably have more technical background then me.  I just know bits and pieces.  I don't even know the difference between something that begins with '#' and something that begins with '."  I try them both. One of them is sure to work.
