Edit slideshow

When  adding a slide to a slideshow, how does one reduce the size of the image imported from a picures file? The system seems to have changed since my last edit.

Thank you

Unlike the image element, you'll need to edit your images prior to uploading them to the slideshow element. Sorry for the confusion!

This is unfortunate...it adds extra work.

I do edit  slides before uploading. However, the image comes up so large that it cannot be contained by the slide. There is a "zoom" which seems to indicate that one can reduce the size of the image but activating the zoom does not result in a smaller image. In fact, it seems to have no effect at all. Perhaps I am using it incorrectly.

What I really want to do is upload more than one image to the slide. Is this no longer possible in the new system?

Thank you.

By more than one image, do you mean combining two images within the same slide? You'd need to do that on your computer first before uploading, since I don't believe the new image editor supports combining images like that.

I once created great slideshows with features that let me add more than one picture to a slide as well as a background color and clip art.  This is no longer available and now is difficult and time consuming to edit pictures to fit on the slide.  Also I am unable to delete the slideshow because I would rather not have one than deal with the new fuss of creating one.  I have attempted to call for tecnical support but unable to reach anyone.  I'm really disappointed at the changes and would like some help.  I like my site a certain way and the ease weebly used to be.  This is unfortunate.

Really sorry to hear that, @jennim. It looks like you were able to speak with one of our reps earlier. I hope she was able to give you some guidance. Smiley Happy
