Change background color theme?

Is there a way to change the color of the background?
If I click on Background you can change the image of the header but not the color of the background. The colors provided by the theme are not the ones I want.

Hi, @hicarla65!

If you visit the theme tab, you'll see a few other color options. You can also change the background color with custom HTML/CSS. However, change the HTML/CSS at your own risk as we don't give advice on how to do that, and I highly recommend making a copy of your site before you start. You can make a copy of your site by going to your dashboard and clicking the button with three dots on the right side of your page.

Thanks,

Erin

Thanks Erin. This I already knew. Hoped there'd be an easier/safer way.

Hi again,

Tried to change the colors in html. Background worked, links worked, but for example the button... didn't succeed in changing that one.

I think it's strange that there is no advice on changing such basic things as background color, links etc. I'm very happy with the theme, but sometimes I just want some new colors.

For now it seems I'm stuck with my old colors. New themes don't always (ever?) have different colors and one has to see an example of every theme to find out if there are different options for colors and which colors those are. Too bad.

I agree with you completely and hope that Weebly will take your feedback and make improvements!

I agree this is awful. I have been with Weebly for years and you used to be able to go into settings and change things like fonts, background colour, button colour. I have neglected my site and now I want to revamp it is a complete nightmare. Everything I loved about Weebly, the simplicity of it was perfect for someone like me who is new to website building and hasn't got time (or the brainpower ) to get my head round all these apps and html. I spend ages reading and trying to find answers.

I have to agree. I used to use Dreamweaver, but found the OLDER Weebly easier. But now I can't easily change the background color?? I wish I could download to Dreamweaver and fix the problem -- in 2 seconds!!  Frustrating!!

Yes! Why are there not more options per theme? Ridiculous haha.
