CSV file - importing products not working

Anybody else experiencing issues with loading new items using a CSV file?

I am using the same form and type of info I have been for aaaages but since yesterday it just isn't working.

It gets completely stuck on the importing bit

I have to re-load and then usually only one has been loaded and only half....it is a real pain!

I can manually add them but with 10+ new items coming in every day that is REALLY not working...

anybody any ideas?

Hey @Queen-Bee! Sorry to hear you're having trouble.  When you say that it's getting stuck, does it give any errors or warning messages or does something else happen?

How large is your CSV? Did you make it yourself or is this exported from somewhere else?

sorry, never got email to say you replied...

anyway.. I am using the blank csv file provided by Weebly

Then I copy paste my text in it from another CSV file (created with Jotform)

I should also add; one of your staff told me to not copy-paste direct into the Weebly CSV file

But to put it in a notepad first (to take any bugs out that might have come with the Jotform csv)

But that doesn't work either

NO nothing happens and no message is provided. It acts as if no import was ever attempted.  GRRR.  I followed the directions with headers etc. Have no idea what the problem is.

This is happening to me too! Exactly the same - all the products appear pre-import, but when I click Import, the green bar appears and nothing happens. Then when I eventually give up and refresh, there is one incomplete product showing. very frustrating...

Sorry to hear that, @BCD.  Did you make this CSV yourself or is an export from somewhere else?

Hi Adam,

I am trying to import from Etsy. At first, it said I had to remove the Quantity or upgrade. So I edited the CSV to remove the Quantity column. Then I tried leaving the column in but taking out the values. Then I tried changing the values to FALSE. Nothing worked. I also tried splitting the csv into two separate files of around 60 products, in case it was the number of products that was causing the problem. That didn't work either.

I'll pass your feedback onto our engineering team so they can look into it.  If they need your CSV, would it be a problem to provide that to me?

I am also having this issue. VERY FRUSTRATING! I am paying $18+ a month for a service that doesn't even work... Would like reimbursement for lost productivity.

Hello @automodspa

I can assist with the structures and functionality of the CSV's for you. I might need to speak with you on the phone. I am going to start this by opening a service ticket for you that will come back to me directly.

Hello @automodspa

I found something we need to fix in  your CSV and I called you and also sent an e-mail. Once you are available we can get this figured out for you.

We have the same problem importing from etsy. we change all the ways possible after the "error" the file downloaded, and still it is not working. Two years ago we did once the process and work perfectly.

What errors are you seeing when you try to import?

yes, I simply do not have the time to add them all manually.. have at least 5 items to add in a quiet week!

Yeah, I am experiencing this problem and others with Weebly lately, and lack of timely support as well.  Its ridiculous to do all that work on a csv and then the product doesnt work. If its something Im doing wrong, it would be nice to have a support person around.

Sorry to hear that, @dave2. How large is the file you're trying to import, and how many products are in it? Is it an export from another third party store, or a modified export from your Weebly store?
