CSS for Visual Designer

Help! Seriously I love weebly but there are times I just want to cry. Does anyone know of any css/html tutorials out there geared toward visual designers? I know just enough code to be dangerous. My biggest problem is that I can never seem to find what I'm looking for in the css/html. One of my biggest pet peeves is there always seems to be too much padding top and bottom in sections-including headers and footers. I have tried everything to reduce the height to no avail. Also, why does nearly every single template weebly offers have such a boring nav bar? Either a straight text line across or a box on rollover. Ugh. I designed two beautiful sites in Muse…or I thought I did until I viewed on mobile. Setting up break points wasn't quite so seemless as weebly. I truly appreciate all comments!  ~Cheri

Hello Cheri!

While I'm no coder myself, I know our Community here can likely set you on the right path. By visual designers, are you referring to options for changing the look of your site in particular?

By visual designer I mean I could design a killer website in Photoshop and using layers make it look exactly like I want it to look...but once I have to start messing with code instead of simply dragging things around where I want them...well that's when I get myself in trouble!

why can't you just images from photoshop and text as separate components, and stick them wherever you want.  You will never be able to translate complete photoshop design in weebly - just will have to love and live with it.

Hey Boba,

Thanks so much for the reply! Sadly, I know the limitations...just trying to explain that I'm definitely a right-brained person. I know what I want visually, but when I have to go in and change code to get it to look like I want it to I really struggle. This is why I'm hoping someone can mention a great resource to help people like me understand the basic structure of the CSS and how to make changes.
