Hi! I've had my website up and running for 4 months, and it's linked to many places including twitter & multiple poetry presses. But it won't show up on google... When I logged into google search console it said no clicks/traffic/anything, even though a few people have been clicking on the site. it also says there are no backlinks, which is odd because it's not true! My twitter profile with the link comes easily when I search the keyword, but my website just doesn't. I tried emailing Weebly a few weeks back but I didn't receive a response. I have all thee SEOs done and everything! Please help!

@em7 glad you got back to me..
So you have to tell google that you have a site.
Its been a while since i did mine but
The steps are indicated here on Weebly's very own and VERY helpful SEO GUIDE
https://www.weebly.com/seo/search-console
I have a travel blog BUT i love Weebly and made some pages to help other users with some HACKS.
so once u have the code, from Console and Analytics, my own page: https://www.nomadicbackpacker.com/adding-google-analytics-code-and-google-search-console-code-to-you...
Shows you what the code looks like and where to put it.
Once you added the codes to yiur site, please press save AND publish
Then on GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE, u must submitt a sitemap this is an auto generated link set up by Weebly.
On the left site of the google search console you will see SITEMAPS on the little index
Hit that.
Then simply add sitemap.xml where it is requesting and hit SUBMIT then wait for google to do its stuff which can take ages be patient
I see u just replied me as i am typing
Any questions please ask

Hi please what is your website URL ?
i do not know how much you have done with your site, so sorry if i am asking 'basic questions'
Did you add your site to google search console? ie did you tell Google about your site? Publishing your site is not the same as telling Goohle that you have a site..
An easy way to check if your site is ON google, is to type:
site:yourwebsitename.com or .weebly.com no need to include the https or www
This will list all your pages that are known to google..
If you have set your site to GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE and GOOGLE ANALYTICS, where did you paste the codes?
To check on site hits you need Google analytics
Let me know how you get on and can assit more if required... please send screen shots to help me troubleshoot

I'm not sure how to tell google about my site, can you lead me through it?
I don't think it's "on" google

@em7 did u manage? The codes and submitting site map.xml?
Another trick to FAST TRACK google is to INSPECT the pages add the home page url to where there is a little search magnifying glass.... at the top of the serch console page. press return.... then wait then press REQUEST INDEXING
And let it finish
Do not request indexing too many times it annoys google...
If u add a new oage to uiyr site, u can submit the site map again... it can take ages for Google to index ur site

@whitemonkey yeah, that was fast! Any reason why it says "Weebly" after the name? Or is that something I have to change?

Yeah you have the free plan ie a weebly sub domain
U can purchase the CONNECT PLAN and then buy ur own domain. a dot com domain.
This is a referal link from my website if you choose to buy the plan.
https://www.weebly.com/r/L2IQPB
Its like a AFFILIATE thing u have the same on ur site to refer other people too. Its on the weebly dashboard.
Ur own domain is a good idea if u want people to take your site seriously. It looks more professional
