Slow website due to redundant weebly code, javascript etc

My website is sooooo slow, particularly on mobile. About 60 seconds to load, sometimes longer.

All images are low res. All videos are embedded. All site performance scans identify redundant and unused CSS, Javascript and other code to be the problem (structure at the weebly end) to be the issue, and lack of caching which could help repeat visits. I've tried changing themes and it makes no difference. Do I need to migrate my website to another platform? Or is there someone that can go in and strip back anything unnecessary and clean it up?

@WildEmu Have you done any kind of speed test analysis?  How large is your page? In most cases the redundant weebly codes do not suck up that much time.  You will have overhead becasue you want drg and drop interface and other easy to use features.  Most of the time the real culprits are user embeded stuff - too many images, videos, apps, user modified/embeded code etc.

From my experience, if multimedia isn't slowing down your site, it's usually Weebly Apps.

For some reason, Weebly Apps that are available for download tend to add a lot of extra code and resource demands. This can greatly slow down websites.

When I'm designing sites for clients, removing Weebly Apps increases performance exponentially. In speed tests, this is reflected with less code utilization and generally quicker loading speeds. I just hard code whatever functionality the Weebly Apps provided natively into the HTML/CSS/JS or use themes that have these features built into the code.

About speed tests--be advised that it's not feasible to expect a perfect score when using builder tools like Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, etc. That being said, I find that a lot of people put in too much importance into the speed test metrics. Yes, slow loading sites are punished in SEO rankings but the difference in ranking between a super quick loading site and a "normal" side is negligible.

User testing, responsive design, and ensuring proper box model compliance on mobile (i.e no overflow--google  search console will tell you if there any errors) takes priority.

I've been trawling through the website replacing images that were already small. I've just deleted all the apps I can live without (unfortunately to the regular removal of weebly features even though I'm on a business account, apps are needed for some of the most basic functionality that used to be included).

Try loading my website on a mobile phone (Cell phone for Americans!) and you will understand my frustration www.compostcommunity.com.au

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, I've been unable to log into Weebly community since my original post due to some site token error.

According to my SiteChecker membership, these are some of the key issues:

Reduce initial server response time (Can I host my weebly website from a non-weebly host?)
1.34 s

Serve images in next-gen formats (I have converted all imaged but unfortunately, Weebly won't let me upload them!)
4.77 s

Reduce unused JavaScript (Anyone here want an hour of coding work?)
3.54 s

Eliminate render-blocking resources (no odea how to fix this)
3.21 s

Properly size images (Can't access the source code of my content to set parameters. All are fixed sizes in Canva before downloading)
2.70 s

Reduce unused CSS (what can I remove?)
0.60 s

Preload key requests
0.48 s

In Chrome on a mobile device it loaded in just under 2 seconds for me, @WildEmu. This was the homepage, though, I didn't check other pages of the site. There is likely to be some increased latency because our servers are here in the US, although I don't think it would be anything too extreme.

It takes about 2 minutes to load in Australia, having a significant impact on customers persisting long enough to purchase. All SEO site scanners list it at upwards of 19 seconds.

That's a really unusually high amount of latency; I wouldn't have expected more than maybe.. 10 seconds? Do you have any apps or widgets or other third party content on your homepage?
