I have both Free and Pro Weebly sites. Why don't the Free Weebly sites show up on searches? My Free site is a community organisation and I would be very happy for it to appear on Google etc.

Some 'Free' websites aren't found on Search Engines anymore, when you publish the website you may or may not be greated with the following message:
If you see that message, that means your website won't be found on Search Enginges due to it being a free website. All of our paid plans have the choice to be found on search enginges, or the choise not to be.
Hope that clears things up.

Ok, I uderstand that having a free site doen't entitle you to have access to searches, but why is it that some free websites appear on searches and others don't?

Hello Caljack,
Older accounts are "grandfathered" into the old option that will index free sites. This is no longer an option for the free plans on new accounts starting October 2015. I hope this helps!

@Starworshipper thank you for your reply. I can understand this if the site is a profit-making business (because they have the option to upgrade, i.e. pay, and therefore appear on searches) but feel that it's a little sad when it's a non-profit organisation, especially a community one.
