Website Appearance on Mobile Phones

Hello,

I have a Weebly website that looks fine on my desktop computer. However, when I view it on mobile phones, some pages are a little distorted where I have added an image to inside the text area. I do that because I don't always want to have to place a single image in between the separate text boxes because it leaves to much open space.

The website is easybasicphotography.com One of the pages with the problem I mentioned is https://www.easybasicphotography.com/types-of-cameras.html

(do I have to use a separate mobile weebly app? If so, where can it be found?

Any help and advice regarding this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Keith Jones

Hi Keith!

You have an older theme which is not mobile responsive. I recommend updating your theme to a newer, responsive theme by clicking on Theme>Change Theme. Note: you will have to rebuild the content in the header sections.

If you have a larger website, or if you are hesitant to update, you can make a copy of your site first. Then you can practice switching themes on the copy site to get a feel for how much editing you will need to do. You can make a copy of the site by clicking the dropdown in the top right corner of the dashboard.

Once you are updated to a newer theme you can use something like the Hide app to change the way the content displays on different screen sizes. You can also try using the Hide app with the theme you currently have, although I'm not sure if it is compatible with the older themes. Maybe you can start off by making a test page first, and trying the app out.

Hi Bernadette,

I get just the same issue.

I have tried to go to THEME, but I don't have a newer one. I mean, for e-commerce, there is ALL THEME, RECENTLY USED, and CUSTOME.  How could I know which one is the new version and can support the mobile version?

Hi @Petali_di_cielo!

Go to "All Themes" and choose any theme you see. All of those themes are responsive and should give you an improved mobile experience.

Hi, i´m having the same problem with the appearance of my web site on mobiles... I want it to look the same as on a desk computer. Reading the answers, I understand that to have that option I have to actualice the "theme"... could someone help me to confirm that my actual theme is old?
Gracias!

Welcome, @ercilia! Thanks for making your first post.

I can confirm that you are using an older theme called Frunge, so switching to a new theme should help.

I am having a similar problem (see below). My theme is Muse, which I think is supposed to be responsive, but I'm not sure how old it is.

Here is my issue:

I just published my site shinteki.com and it looks fine on desktop, but on mobile (on the Home page and Corporate page) a section that I added at the bottom of the page is displayed at the top. Is there a way to make the sections appear in the same order on mobile as they do on the desktop version?

Also, I have two sections on those pages that use a custom background image, but on mobile they are displayed with a white background instead of the picture.

Thanks for any help or suggestions,

-Linda

Hi @tparis

This is an older theme. Newer themes are responsive, and will automatically resize depending on the screen size.

If you are updating your theme, please be aware that you will need to recreate the header sections. The rest of the content should automatically display no matter which theme you select.
