Good day!
I just upgraded my weebly free account to Pro yesterday because it was stated on the main feature that Domain is "FREE". I am just wondering why when I enter my domain name it said that I have to purchase it for another $19 dollar plus $10 Security of my domain. I thought upgrading to PRO includes a free Domain and no need for me to buy or pay domain name of my own choice assuming this domain is free?? All I found out is that most of my domain choices are not free and need to be purchased as if I am not allowed to choose a free domain name because almost all my choices, aside from those that are not available, are to be purchased.
Please enlighten me if this PRO version plan of weebly includes a FREE DOMAIN as what what stated, or do I have to buy a domain asided from my PRO Plan which as stated in the plan includes free domain??
Thanks.

We only include a credit for a free domain name with annual site upgrades, so if you purchased a one month subscription it won't include that. If you upgrade to an annual plan that should include the credit which you could use to manually extend your domain for another year.

Did you purchase a one month plan or an annual plan, @mikereb? The credit for a free one-year registration is only included with annual plans.

Good day!
I just read your reply and thank you for the prompt attention.
As I read your first reply here, I already decided and buy recently few minutes ago for one(1) year subscription the domain for another charge aside from my first and 1 month subscription of Pro. Had it been earlier that Ive read your reply, I could have asked for your offer that of a coupon for a discount.
The question now is, can I still ask for a refund or at least ask a coupon or reembursement from my first 1 month Pro subscription? Because what happened now, Ive got a month subscription for PRO, then within just a week, I also bought a separate domain just now 30 minutes ago more or less?
Thank you again and hope to hear from you Sir Admin..

Hi @mikereb Do you want a refund for the one month Pro plan so that you can purchase a yearly plan instead?

Thank you for the relpy.
I already bought a domain for 1 year subscription from weebly within just a week while I have another existing one month Weebly PRO subscription which I found out lately that the free domain is applicable only once I subscribed to a Weebly Pro.
How can I refund my ONE MONTH Pro subscription, or can i avail of a discount through some refund to my domain which was already purchased? And if I asked for refund, will my newly domain be affected, or does it follow that I have a domain name that i must also have a subscription to a weebly pro? Please enlighten me.
Thank you so much!

Hi there. The free domain credit is only available if you purchase a yearly hosting plan. If you want to publish your site to a custom domain name, you also have to have a paid hosting plan. Both services are required to work together. Does that make sense?

Good day!
Thank you for that clarification.
One last question. So, what if I will subscribe for a one year PRO plan with a free domain, what will happen to my separate domain previously subscribed for one year also?
As I understand it, in that scenario I will have 1 year PRO subscription plus a free domain, and on top of that i have a separate existing domain name with separate one year subscription. Does it mean that my free domain from PRO subscription is distinct from my other domain or can is there a way that it can be merged or something cause I just want one domain name if possible.
Thank you so much.

You can actually use the domain credit to renew/extend your current domain. Is that the domain you wish to keep?

Yes, I want to keep the domain and soon when my 1 month weebly pro subscription expire, I am planning to renew it to 1 year subscription hopefully with the same domain name.
Actually, when I first apply from free to PRO 1 month subscription, i really believed that there was also a free domain name. I don't know, maybe I just misunderstood the plan in your website for a Pro subscription. But as you can see based on your site proposal, it looks unclear:
Pro
$12.00/mo
billed annually
or $18.00 month-to-month
Select Plan
Free Domain / (or check sign)
So, it was somewhat misleading such that when I selected $18.00 month-to-month, Free Domain is free whether "billed annually or month-to-month subscription. What happened I have a Pro plan but no Domain name. So, within just a week, I decided to separately subscribed or bought a domain name good for 1 year. It would have been different if from the beginning, I should have preferred the 1 year Pro subscription wherein domain name is free. Had it been clear to readers like me, I should have opted the later. It should have been specified that if its a month-to-month subscription, free domain will not apply. As simple as that..
I've started using weebly Free account since between 2012-2014 if Im not mistaken until present and I love to use it because it's a user friendly specially for us who are not I.T. professionals or no background in web development. Until this issue that I'm raising and also just now, wherein I can't go to Edit Site in my Dashboard. I dont know if this is just a glitch, slow connection or whatever.
I would love to renew soon but hopefully my concerns are properly addressed.
Thank you so much.

Sir Adam,
Greetings!
I just have a new question regarding my renewal of my Pro Plan that will expire this May 04, 2020, a month after I subscribed to a monthly basis. On the other hand, my separate Domain name will expire on April 7, 2021. Now, I will renew my monthly Pro Plan subscription, but this time I want to upgrade to a yearly/annual subscription. So what will happen to my existing separate subscription of Domain name? As what have you told me before, once I subscribed to a Pro Plan in a yearly basis, I will hae a free Domain name. Does it mean that once I subscribed for a yearly basis of my Pro Plan with a free Domain name, my older and separate existing domain name will remain as separate from the free domain? Or, is there a way that they can be syncronized?
As both your answers suggest: (
You can actually use the domain credit to renew/extend your current domain. Is that the domain you wish to keep? ) and (
We only include a credit for a free domain name with annual site upgrades, so if you purchased a one month subscription it won't include that. If you upgrade to an annual plan that should include the credit which you could use to manually extend your domain for another year.
Community Manager ), I can use my separate domain subscription to use to manually extend my domain for another year? If yes, how can I manually extend it?

Since your domain is a separate service it will continue to renew on its own, separate from when your Pro service renews.

Thank you for the reply.
But if in case I will upgrade now to 1 yr subscription for a PRO account, a situation will arise wherein I have a two domain, one from my previous separate domain subscription, and the other from the new upraded PRO account wherein there is a free domain. How can I merge both domains? Or, would it be possible that I get discount or credit considering I will subscribe to a new 1 yr PRO subscription(+ free domain)? My previous separate domain subscription will expire on April 2021. Thank you.

Hi, my one month Pro Plan will expire this May 4. You have it the other way around, what I mean instead, can I make a refund for my 1 year separate subscription of my Domain Name so I may be able to upgrade to a 1 year PRO PLAN with a FREE Domain Name? Thanks...

Once you extend to the annual plan you will receive a domain credit. The credit can be used to register a new domain OR you can use the credit to extend your current domain registration.

I just purchased a 1-year PRO account. Do I also need to purchase the domain name to remove the "weebly" portion of the web address? Please advise.

I ended up registering my domain name and was charged an additional $39.95. Is that correct? $39.95 for the 1-year PRO plan AND $39.95 for the domain name??
