Product name not showing, categories name shows instead - twice!

Hello, please help! My products do not show a name or description until the image is clicked on. What does show above my products is the categories name instead, twice, once in text and agin in title text. How can my customers chose what to click on when the image for the product has no description? The link below shows how the products appear once the category is clicked on, they have no names but the categories name is there twice...why is this occuring? I cant even edit out the categories name there.

Hello, and welcome!

It looks like the item name and description there are both the same in the Store settings as well. Is that intended?

It is the CATEGORY showing twice that I am referring to while the PRODUCT is not showing at all. The product shows in other themes but not the one I wish to use, so I figured it was a font setting but nothing is working....I'm sick to death of it!

I'm not sure we've been able to see the same thing as you have there.

Just to be absolutely sure, when I click the link there, I see the New Chiropractic Tables category. The Stationary 3 Drop Table is listed, though the title is white, the same as the background, so it is not visible. When I click it, it leads to the Stationary 3 Drop Table page. Is that all right?

I have exactly the same thing - I see the category heading twice when I drill into a category - there appears to be no way to edit it.

You can either see it twice, in different fonts, or not at all - which means your Category has no tag at all.

Has anyone found a fix to this?

I think this is by design, because the top text are breadcrumbs, and the bottom text is the title of the category. Try doing this: in Store > Products > Categories, create a new Category called "Shop" or store, and make your three categories all subcategories of that.

That should update the breadcrumbs to be Shop > Category, so the two lines of text aren't totally identical.

Hi Adam,

I am having a similar issue, if you see any of my products listed under categories it appears that the name of the product is below the image but may be in the same color "white" as the "white" background. I guess I am trying to figure out a way to either change the background color or better yet, be able to change the text color of the product titles while showing multi-displayed products on the page.

any help is greatly appreciated, I have searched all the forums with no luck.

thank you

Hello clev! You may want to contact support in this case. It looks like your current theme is setting that text to white, which is something our team will want to check out and clear up.

Hello, I have the same issue, when i select a category the product name does not show because the lettertype color is white and so is the background. How can i solve this?

Thanks for your help.

I think this might be because of the grey background you have on your main webshop page. Try changing that to a white background.

I am having this same issue and their chat support said the only way to change it would be to change back to a standard Weebly theme. To me this is an unacceptable answer. I have spent literally thousands of hours on my website and there are over a hundred pages. It would take me weeks of work to move everything back to a standard theme and then check each and every page to see that the formatting is still ok. Smiley Mad
