Say I post my first post on my blog with two different images (1.jpg and 2.jpg). The two images come out as they should on the blog page.
Now, when I post my second post with two images (1.jpg and 2.jpg different from the ones in the first blog post), they two come out as they should...
The problem I'm facing is the First blog post now has the images of the second and not the images it should.
In my blog: CBSE Coding - Python
All my blog posts have the images of the latest blog post and not the images they should have. Please fix this issue ASAP.

We retain the file name of an image after uploading, so if you later upload an image with the same name it will overwrite the original image. I recommend giving all your images unique names so you don't run into that.

The images all look different, @therealsujitk. You may need to clear your cache. You also need to remove the code for popup ads immediately as it is against our ToS.

Oh, I didn't know. I'll remove the ads.
But my problem is still not resolved.
Take this link: Blog Post 1
And this: Blog Post 2
The two images in Blog Post 2 are different from each other but are the same as the images of Blog Post 1.
Now if I upload another post with of two images with names 1.jpg and 2.jpg, all the blog posts will change their images to the latest uploaded images because they too have their image names 1.jpg and 2.jpg

All right, Thanks!
If you look at my other blog: CBSE Coding - C++, you'll see that all my images were uploaded with the same name, but are different. So I though this may be a bug.
Anyways thanks! I'll use unique names.

It wasn't always like this (although I don't recall exactly when we made the switch), so that definitely makes sense. Thanks for posting about it, though! This particular change was done to give more control over SEO.

Thanks! I've been uploading images unique names to the website this past week. I don't know about the other users but personally I'm finding it tough keeping a track of what names i've already uploaded especially because my site has a ton of images. A small suggestion: I would love it if maybe there was a feature where weebly asks whether the user would like to replace the existing image or create a new image with a different name.

That's a good suggestion, @therealsukitk - it's the same behavior you see with most applications if a file with the same filename in the same location already exists. Feel free to post that to our Vote on Features board if you have a moment.

I'm having this issue too and it is MADDENING! This solution solves nothing and is not a feasible solution at all for photographers who have thousands of images on their computer with the same name. You are asking the impossible for us. Photographers work with a HIGH volume of images and giving them all different names is, well quite frankly, impossible. We catalog out images in many different file folder but the images have the same names (ie: Image-001, image-002 etc). When we export from the editing software, we do this in large batches with autmatically generated image names, which is why the images go as a collections into their own folders. The folders each have their own name, but the images inside will the same name as images in many other folders. You will be hardpressed to keep photography clients using Weebly as a platform if you don't do something about this. I guarantee you, we will not be spending month renaming our thousands of images. We will just a different web host.

What you're saying makes perfect sense to me, @teigan. I'm no professional, but even organizing family photos is a daunting task. Are you able to bulk rename files? On my device, if I select all of the files in a folder, click rename and choose "September" (for example), then hit enter, all of my files will be renamed to "september" with a numerical value.

I have suggested a new idea that might help users a little here: https://community.weebly.com/t5/Vote-on-Features/Ask-to-replace-image-on-upload/idi-p/149004 . So far no one has voted for it.... But I still think it has to be implemented.... If you guys plan on putting things back to how they were, that would really be helpful. On a separate note, I already started migrating to a new server as it takes too much time to make sure a name already doesn't exist. I have around 250 images and it keeps increasing. 250 is also a less number compared to a few other users using Weebly and it's exhausting for even theses few 250.

I am currently building evidence to bring a lawsuit against weebly for loss of photos, data and archives. If the back up zip file worked I would have moved my site to a new host a long time ago, but the antiquated download zip archive on weebly is useless just as many other things on weebly that no longer work or function as they once did.
Since a few months ago, I noticed that photos I uploaded were turning up on pages that I didn't post them on. Photos were being overwritten-I was desperately confused and asked for help. I was told that this was happening because I was using an old theme, I tested a new theme and this didn't solve the problem. After reading this thread I was so angry when I realised that weebly had made a change that would cause photos to be overwritten if given the same name, I was furious that weebly made this change without informing their users. I tried to ensure that each photo I upload now has a different name but this hasn't solved the problem.
I have several pages with the wrong photos on them. I have received no help from weebly customer services though I have asked for help many times. I am constantly being blamed for the problems I am encoutering. I am disgusted with weebly and I do not recommend it to anyone ever!! Weebly does not care about their customers and the site has either not progressed or has gone downhill. I never had this problem when I first started using weebly. I am seeking 350, 000 in damages.

Hi @simangry1 Are you still using Weebly? Did anything come of your lawsuite?
I'm just realizing now about the file name issue. I too am extremely frustrated!
I'm not that tech savvy, so moving to a different host is going to be so painful. Anyone who knows an easy way to break-up please let me know!
Thanks,

No, ADAM, problem IS NOT SOLVED.
For TWO YEARS, weebly has swapped photos on my website, and these photos each have unique file names (yes I checked).
Weebly software is needing repair, but you guys refuse to fix it.
WHY???
My website is totally ruined, wish I had chosen a different host. Seriously.
