How to modify .htaccess to redirect to domain root and not index.html
Hello, I've noticed ever since I use weebly pro through bluehost my domain is www.domain.com/index.html
How do I edit the .htaaccess to redirect to www.domain.com ? When I try a 301 redirect from index.html to www.domain.com it goes into infinite loop between both.
This is a serious problem because website loading speed is an extremely important metric and right now there is an extra second delay to load main page because it then redirects to www.domain.com/index.html
How to modify the .htaaccess script to fix this? There is no way inside the weebly editor to fix this and this is pretty severe issue. This is doubling my page loading speed because of a pointless redirect that was setup automatically.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there. Unfortunately, there is not a way to access this through Weebly. We don't have access to your account, so you might want to double check with Bluehost for additional troubleshooting.
