How to add a footer to all pages of website
I would like to add a footer to every page of the website, without needing to do it manually on each individual page. Is this possible?
I want:
Business address, phone number, email, Instagram, Facebook

Great idea! It most certainly is.
You'll just want to click the bottom part of a page to begin editing the Footer, which is a section that will appear on each page of your site. It's a solid choice for extra navigation, contact information, and anything else you want available everywhere on your site. One thing to bear in mind, you'll want to be sure you're using a paid hosting plan to put that to use.

I will need for my website designer to talk with a tech assistant to put back in the customized footer. We will be working on it Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Will you be available to speak with her? Many thanks!

@contru, splash pages are the only one where you can't have a footer.

I would like to customize the footer now that I have upgraded with contact info, social media icons, etc. But I also really want to keep the transparent background of the splash page. Is there any way to do that?
Thanks

Did you remove it from the HTML templates for your site, or just delete the content from the footer itself? We can't restore the content, unfortunately, although you might be able to get some of it from the live site if it's still there.

HI, I deleted my footer too, because I wasn't finding a way to edit it easily, and the help pages said to delete and reinstall. However, the choices provided don't really work with the design of my template and I'm wanting to reinstall the template footer. Is there a way to copy that code back into my site? Thanks, Jill.
P.S. I have not republished the site with deleted footer.

Hey!
I added a footer but didn't like the layout - so I made some changes in the html of the footer layout, I wanted to ask if anyone knows how I can restore what I changed in the html coding?

The only way you can really do that is switch to the standard version of the theme, copy the HTML for the footer from that, then switch back to your custom theme and replace the footer HTML with what you copied.

A footer should be included by default already, @J-writer. Scroll down to the bottom of any page of your site and click in the footer. That should bring up an overlay to edit the contents of the footer.

Hi Adam,
Why am I not seeing a footer on my two splash pages? I see it on my home page which is not set up as a splash page.

Never mind Found the CSS code telling me it was set to display "none" and fixed it.
Thanks!

Hi @junelparkart. Thanks for joining and making your first post.
I took a look at your site and see that you customized it to remove the footer (or at least I assume that based on the name of the theme). If you removed the footer by editing your theme you'd need to add it back to a page template and use that template with the page you want it shown on.

Hi June,
I was able to get the Footer back by going to Page > Click Header type drowdown > select Header (and then the footer appeared at the bottom). It seems that when you select Splash, the footer disappears.
