How do I resolve being stuck on "SSL certificate is being configured. Check back later." ?
Hello,
I recently noticed my site was not labeled secure anymore, so I re-toggled the SSL enablement switch (it had said it was enabled), and now the SSL status is stuck on "SSL certificate is being configured. Check back later." for more than a few days. I've seen the issue reported a few times by other site owners, with either an easy solution on the Weebly admin backend or by an investigation into the DNS config having to do with a third-party domain registration (mine is Register.com). Not sure why SSL should now be an issue when it had been secure up until recently. Perhaps an add-on app to my site is the culprit? I did add both 'H1 Tag' and 'Back to Top' recently...?
??

Thanks for reaching out, @gamesandrings
Did you register the domain directly through register.com? Can you post a screenshot of your domain settings?

I'm not sure why, but the main a-record is not registering online. You can confirm here. I recommend reaching out to register.com directly to see if they can verify that the A-record is setup properly.
Once the information is loading properly we can make sure the SSL is issued.

Thanks, @Bernadette
Here's the response from Register.com re: me forwarding your suggestion on the A-record:
"In regards to your concern, I have checked and the A record will not affect the security of the website. The whatsmydns url is to check if the records are propagating properly. Make sure that the SSL is activated and issued correctly."
Please advise, thanks.

Hmm.. I tried to push it through, but it is still not wanting to configure. We can try one other A-record. 🤞 Can you update to 199.34.228.68 for both records?

Hello,
I separately just received an email from "Square Online & Weebly Customer Success" at weebly@help-messaging.squareup.com that asked me to switch the DNS records to point to 199.34.228.77.
NOT 199.34.228.68 as previously noted earlier in this thread.
A) why is that information not communicated through this thread, and in a separate email?
B) Are you sure?
I will change the DNS records again (to ... .77) as most recently requested. Please adbvise on any next steps to expedita a solution.
