How do I get my image / link preview to show up on Facebook again?

Hi,

I suddenly started to have this problem when I post a link to a page on my website.

As you can see, no preview image shows, even though it looks just fine in Facebook debugger:

And even when I try to schedule the post (on Hootsuite, for example) it looks like this:

I do get this message on Facebook Debugger:  

Warnings That Should Be Fixed

Missing Properties

The following required properties are missing: og:type, fb:app_id

Not sure if that means anything, or how I can fix it.

Any advice you can provide would be helpful, since posting my links on Facebook right now looks terribly unprofessional!

Thanks for posting again, @Daneen2Fabulous!

Those two warnings shouldn't affect anything and are normal see when sharing something built through us. That's pretty strange that it will see the image fine with preview but not use it with the live post. I would give it a little bit, scrape new info with the debugger, then try again. It's possible it's some kind of temporary Facebook issue.

Hi - I am having this same problem with www.learningpals.org.  I have debugged and scraped multiple times and waited but it still doesn't show up. When I beginning entering the link on facebook, our image shows up, but then when I post it, the image disappears.

This is what I see on the scraperwhen i post it looks like this

I'm not sure why you are seeing something different. I tested sharing that same post on Facebook and it looked just like the preview shown in the debugger.

Hey Adam, I'm back and still having this problem.   When I scrap an URL using FB's debugger, it looks just fine.  When I try posting it using Facebook Planner, the image isn't showing up for the desktop view, but is there for the mobile view. When I post directly to Facebook without using the planner, it looks great, until I hit "post"--then the image is gone.  Is there something I can do to resolve this?  HELP!  See all screenshots below.

Stepping in for Adam here. I'm not familiar with Facebook Planner, but if you are posting directly from Facebook, the image should be the same as the one you see when you scrape in the Facebook debugger tool. 

Can you try logging into Facebook in a different browser? Perhaps you are running into a cache error.. 🤔
