How do I format background image for mobile?

Hello, new to Weebly.  Wondering how I can get my background image, which shows up perfectly taking up the whole browser window on a desktop, to do the same on mobil?  I try resizing, but my home page's image, on mobile, just comes up in the center when viewing on, say, an iPhone.... with lots of open gray space above and below it, like a big letter box.  Is there a way that that image will fill the screen of a mobil device?  Thanks!

Hey @Dukedukenson!  It can be tricky getting a background image to look the same on a mobile device because the screensizes are different. Like everything else with a responsive theme, it's going to adapt to the smaller screen and display a little different. What site are you working on?

Hi, thanks for responding.  Looks like I'm using Birdseye.  If I changed to another theme to try out, but then wanted to go back to Birdseye, will all the formatting I've done so far go back to as it is now?  Thanks!

Hello @Dukedukenson

If you change the theme from birdseye to another theme, you will lose all of the header images and background images. If you then change back to the birdseye theme from the new theme, you will have all of your header and background images that you originally uploaded to that theme already in place. So basically once the headers are changed within a theme they will be there. But if you change to a theme you never used before then you will have to upload the header and background images to the new theme.
