How do I change default country code for tel. on my webshop ?
Hi Weeblies 😉
Our webshop is based in Denmark (EU), however for the customers, the phone number is always set to US in country code. Is it possible to change that to e.g. DK, so that the customer does not have to scroll down to choose a correct country code?

Thanks for posting, @Jannie_84. I was going to suggest making sure you select Denmark as the country location in your site settings, but it looks like you've already done that. I'm not sure if should be changing based on that, or if it's a feature request, though.

Is not a future request, u are activily ignoring this request for phone country Codes since 2016. Almost everybody needs it. Get it done, quickly.

Same problem here. We are in Australia, only sell to Australia, and my store settings are set to Australia (automatically imported to Square) however the phone country code at the checkout page defaults to +1.
Even worse, there is no logic to the list of area codes making the correct country code very hard to find!
How is a feature request lodged? The phone area code should change based on the country selected in the address field (or at least should default to the store country code).

Hi @fisheyes11 We brought this issue up to the team recently and they are already working on a fix. I can assure you that everyone is in agreement that the logic does not make sense, and the product team has prioritized accordingly. I don't have an exact time frame, but will update this thread as soon as I have news.

@Bernadette , we're also having same suitation where phone country code always default to US instead of Australia.
We would like to have this feature release as well. Can you find out when it's available?

country defaults to united states, and telephone
people should be able to select their own default, cmon guys

I will have to cancel weebly if you don't add this feature.
I have international clients and don't see any country codes in the emails you send me after submission - so I can't get a hold of my clients!!!
