How Do I Delete A Contact from A Group

I use groups to sort my contacts from local people and out of state people, our location that we received the contact from etc.  I put a group of people in the wrong group and I want to delete them out of the wrong one.  How do I delete a group from a contact.

To delete a contact click on Contacts on the left in Promote, then on the right search for the email address you want to remove. When you've found it, click on the "..." button on the right to delete it.

Removing a group is pretty much the same - click on Groups on the left, find the group you want to remove, then click on "..." to find the delete option.

While I am at it, is there a way to remove an entire group (not the contacts, just the group).

I do not want to delete the ontact, I only want to remove them from a group.  I dont want delete the group.  For instance, I have a contact that starts out being just a person who paints for themself.  As they get better, they may decide to start selling pieces.  I want to add them to the paint professionally group but remove them from personal use only.  I send out different emails to each group.

I am trying to do the same thing...how did you do it?  I have leads who haven't purchased in a group but once they purchase I want to move them to a new group.

me too, how do I do this?  I want to delete a contact from one group but not from other groups.

Hi @Merrilee

After opening the Promote tab click on Groups on the left. Then click the Group you need to edit. Check the box next to the contact(s) you want to remove and the trashcan icon will appear for you.

I can't see the promote tab. I've downgraded to a free account and need to remove my groups.  I've tried going to Settings and then Members and delete from there, but don't see the option.

Hi @shum. If you log into the editor you will see a banner at the top that says your site is using upgraded features. Click on the link to learn more, than click on "go to members". It will take you directly to the page where you can delete each person. You can also access by clicking Settings>Members. Thanks!

Also, to clarify, you need to hover over the bar of each individual until the cog icon pops up. Then you can click and delete.
