Changing Mobile navigation menu style

Hi,

I have zero coding experiance, but have found weebly ok to use as a complete beginner.

Am using the travellin theme, and have non clickable menu items in the nav bar. This works as great on desktop, but the on mobile as you cant click the text - just the > in the far right corner I dont think its great for users.

Is there any (easy!!!) way to change the code just for the nav bar mobile style, so when on mobile menu you can click on the non-clickable text as well as the > to show the sub-menus. I know other themes have this style on mobile menu but dont want to change theme.

If there is a code I can put in, would I risk messing up any of the work I've already done on the site?

Thanks for your help,

Steve

Welcome, @SteveUK! Thanks for making your first post to the community!

I don't think we include most of the CSS and HTML used for the mobile site in our theme editing tools, so for some changes you need to add your own rules to override those of the mobile theme. The kind of change you want would be more structural, though.

It might be simpler to try out different themes and see if one does what you want on mobile. You can always switch back to your current theme if you don't like the others. Your content remains intact when you change themes, so you don't need to rebuild anything.

@SteveUK Out of curiosity, is your site hosted with Weebly or another hosting company that happens to offer the Weebly content management system to build and edit sites? I've seen a number of instances on this community where mobile navigation is partially or totally broken in Weebly sites hosted at third parties. Weebly sites hosted by Weebly itself don't appear to have this issue. (My cursory look at these type of reported issues indicates that Weebly theme code on third-party hosts is possibly out of date and/or incomplete.)

Its a 123 reg domain. Found a coder who sorted it very simply in the end, just much easier for the user!

Alls now good, apart from the site has just had a fault where over 1k of my 301 redirects have disappeared!! Have just made a seperate post on this as this could mean weebly isnt functional for domains that need lots of 301 redirects- having a bit of a nightmare!

Apart from this massive issue  just now, Ive found weebly pretty good apart from the obvious speed issues which I think for larger sites some coding fixes are worth doing.
