This might be a silly thing to not be able to figure out, but I'm having difficulty with the blog categories on my site. When I first made the website (yesterday, as a matter of fact) I posted four stories each under the different categories I want on the page: short story, one-shot, 55 word story, and poem. Today, I'm trying to add another post to start adding a bit more substance to my site, yet when I try to publish the new post under one of the categories (one-shot in this case), it adds "one-shot" to the sidebar a second time and I can't figure out how to stop that. For clarification, when I click "add category," I don't type it a second time, I've just been clicking it when it shows up as one of the available options. I would really love some help with this. Thank you!
