Adding txt record into the DNS configuration for Google Search Console
When trying to set up Google Search Console, it tells me to copy the txt into my DNS record. When I go onto Weebly, I already have several DNS records, see below. (I deleted the Points To numbers in case that is sensitive information). How do I know which record to edit? Or do I add a whole new record? And do I add the txt from Google Search Console into the Host column or the Points To column?
Thank you for the help!
Laura

Hi Laura. You won't need to delete anything. You should be able to add a new record and then select TXT from the dropdown. If I recall, you can leave the host blank and then copy/paste the record for the "points to" option.

Hi Adam, are you able to please help me out with this one too; I pasted the TXT record into a new drop down, leaving the host blank, but it just gives me a verification failure message. I'm in struggle town over here!!
thanks,
Alyssa

Hi Alyssa - try entering the @ symbol for the host to see it will save the record for you.
