does weebly supports PHP ?

I joined weebly yo make a website for my project. In my project, the embedded system sends the http requests using cellular network. As per my knowledge, web server must support the PHP inorder to process any type of data on the server. So I'm wondering if "Weebly" supports the PHP, if not could you please suggest me any way to process the data on the server.

Thank you.

Hey @alaskan_salmon!  We don't currently support the use of server-side scripting right now.  We do support client-side scripting like Javascript, so if you think you could do what you need with that you can use that instead.  Thanks for asking!

I have large clients. $50,000 and $100,000 accounts that would love to use Weebly to drive their content/php files into a weebly page. https://www.astbearings.com/, http://www.gamweb.com/, https://www.destaco.com/ to name a few.

We do not currently support it, no. I don't know that this is on the roadmap as the general idea of Weebly is that you don't need to know any coding to build a site.

That might be the case, but PHP support for the client side, should really be an option thats available considering so many services require you to have client side access to upload php or alter it, wish I would have never signed up for this service

PHP for the client side? You must mean support for PHP pages (which are server-side, by definition) that can be managed and maintained from the website editor.

Unsure why we should have to sacrifice using Weebly as a tool just to be able to include some richer server-side features.  Seems like a given for any website creation tool.

What are the options to PHP if it is still not supported on Weebly? Trying to add for Trade Lines and they only have PHP.

Hi, @snarky_dad.

I don't think we'll be supporting PHP any time in the near future, so if using that is something required then you'll want to use a more traditional web host. One thing you could do is use your Weebly site as the main site, then use a subdomain with a different host for the parts that require PHP.

Does anyone know of any way to put php into weebly to call a database? I had read somewhere else that this was not possible, but I didn't know if anyone had figured out a way since I had researched a few months ago.

Hello @SamKuban1

You can embed widgets or software or code that is hosted on another server with the embed code element. Why does it need to be PHP? Can you run a script? Tell me more about the type of embedding and server calls you are trying to make.

I have the same question, and I am trying to embed an HTML form into my site, but cannot seem to figure out where to put the required PHP to be able to get my form to send me responses.

I want to add php code.

One more thing that I just want to know that if I upgrade my site, weebly give me cpanel and allow to make subdomains (subdomain.domain.com) ?

We don't currently support PHP for use on sites, although you can do client-side scripting like Javascript. Upgrading gives you a lot of great features, though PHP and CPanel are not included.
