Hello!
It is not possible to move a site to an existing account. However, you do have the following options:
- With some site types we can move a single site into a brand new account using an email address not in use by another acount. Contact our support team and they can over the process and verify if the site can be moved.
- You can rebuild the site in the new account.
- Use the editors option to invite the another person to edit the site. That option can be found in Settings > Editors within the classic Weebly website editor. If you have a Square Online site, you can currently do this by using Square team management , setting up someone as a staff member, then giving them permissions access to your online store.

Robin,
I have one site I built in my weebly account. I just bought another domain for a new client. They like my first clients site and want me to copy content, layout, etc. of the existing site to the new domain. Then I will modify content, images, etc it as needed for the new client.
How can I do this? The content and layout is about 90% the same and I do not want to recreate the wheel.

Select the site in the Sites dropdown on your account dashboard, then click on "..." to the right. You'll see an option there to copy the site, which will make a copy of the site for you that you can use for your new client.

Adam,
How would one copy (not move) a website, it's contents, layout, etc as described above from Weebly account A to Weebly Account B? When I click on the ... in the account dashboard, that only lets me copy a site within an account.
I would suppose that the owner of Account A could create a ticket asking for the copy, then the owner of Account B could reference the ticket number and request the copy into their account?

Hey there Eric! One thing you may want to bear in mind, moving sites is something that can only be done by bringing a site to a brand new Weebly account, one that didn't exist before the move. With that in mind, one could always copy the site within the account, then have the copy transferred over. Is that something that would work for you here?

Yes, that's what I'd like to do. Copy (not move) an entire website -- theme, images, text, everything -- from Weebly Account A to Weebly Account B.
Is there a procedure to make this happen?
Thanks!!!

There is indeed! You'd want to speak to support to go over the details, and get the ball rolling. You can reach them via hc.weebly.com.

Hi there, I have just read this post and I am slightly confused. The first post says it is not possible to move a whole site - the text and contents will have to be recreated. Then in the post above it ways that the whole site can be copied.
Can someone please explain if there are two methods, or have I got confused?
Thanks, John

A copy is created within the same account and includes everything except blog posts. Since it's within the same account it's not the same as trying to move the site from one account to another.

But CAN WE copy a published website and CREATE a whole new site in THE SAME account. Can I duplicate the same published site 10 times and edit titles and url for 10 different clients. I'm so friggen confused I don't know how to lock this question down. I want to duplicate site A and create site B in the same account. If this is Not possible- why?
I simply want to duplicate a site.

Duplicating a site within the same account is definitely possible. It's only copying or moving a site from one account into another existing account which is not possible.

Adam,
If I create a copy of my current site, can I edit the copy while the original stays published, then delete the original and replace it with the copy once I'm done?
I'm trying to figure out how to redesign my site while the current one stays up.
Thanks

Hi @Danielle1 Sorry for the troubles. It looks like your dashboard is a bit different than the older ones in this thread. I made a copy of the site for you, which you can find if you click the dropdown arrow on the top left side of screen. You won't be able to transfer the site to a different hosting provider, unfortunately.

Thanks for posting about it, @CFlores. To see the option, you'll first need to add another site to your account. Click the "Add Site" link in the dropdown on the top right of your account. Once you've made another site, click the grey sites dropdown on the left side of the dashboard and you'll see the "..." button for the site you want to copy.

So all the links with directions to this don't take you to anything helpful. Is ther ea new link out there to explain how to transfer an existing site to a different user?
Thanks.

Hi @regankd We don't have a way to transfer a site to an existing account, unfortunately. Is this what you are referring to?
