Do you actually need to upgrade to a starter plan to sell

Hi, I created a website for the first time for a school group project and had purchased the starter plan expecting that all is done after setting up. But, when I published the site and went to test it, I found out that I cannot add things to my cart. Switching the checkout option to "buy now" also does not work. I was wondering whether it's a regional problem since I am in Malaysia or that I missed something that caused this.

I just saw your other post and voided the charge for you. To answer your original question in case someone else wants to know - yes, you'll need a higher level plan in order to things like editor the footer.
