I am getting this type of an error on our website. What is the best option to get this review and the notifcation removed from Google?

It is a pretty simple site on Weebly but it is causing us issue for the parents accessing the site: https://www.arbonschool.com

What should we do?

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your website, @ZachT

The first thing I suggest doing is resetting the SSL. You can do this from within the Site Editor by clicking the Settings tab at the top of the editor, then scroll down to the SSL section to disable. Wait about 30 seconds, then click the enable button, and re-publish the website.

If that doesn't help, please let me know so we can look into this further with you.

So I have attempted your suggestion and we are still getting the same error on the webpage. I would really appreciate any help to get this resolved. What else can I attempt to do to resolve this issue?

Hmm.. I'm not seeing any reason for the SSL to not be working on the backend. 🤔 I'm going to check in with the advanced support team to see if they need to escalate this as a bug.

Do you happen to know if there is any third party code embedded on the website?

@BernadetteA There should not be any third party code embedded on the website. Is there a way for me to verify that there is nothing on the site?

Yes! You can look for embedded code under Settings > SEO > Header/Footer section, or you can click on Pages, then each page name on the left for the individual SEO settings. You will see sections for the header and footer on each page.

You can also look in the editor for a "blank" element by hovering over the site editor to see if an area highlights in blue. It will look empty, but if you click on it you will see the Embed Code menu. It can only be added manually, though, so if you do not recall using the Embed Code element, you will not see it. It would be a good idea to check for it if the site was not made by you, or if there's additional editors that have access to edit the site.

All that said, I no longer see the red warning page! The site is loading perfectly for me now. 😊 How about on your end?

BernadetteA, Thank you for the response. So I have reviewed those pages in the SEO settings. The only thing that we have in the header is the google verification html. Other than that it is blank. I am still getting the red warning page when I view this in incognito mode, and I am still unsure why. This is a small school webpage that is just there to post information. We dont collect any information throughout the site so I don't understand why I am getting this warning from Google.

I appreciate you help on this issue.

You're welcome, @ZachT ! Sorry this is happening to you. 😞

I double checked, and reissued the SSL, but it seems there is some type of false-positive flag from Google's end. The warning page shows a link to report an incorrect phishing warning, which I have filled out and hoping that will resolve the issue. 🤞

@BernadetteA , I logged into the site from multiple different computers and mobile devices. I looks like that fixed the issues. Thank you for your help!

If you receive a warning from Google of a "Deceptive Site Ahead," it means that the website you are trying to visit is suspected of being a phishing site or containing malware. Phishing sites are designed to look like legitimate sites in order to trick you into entering sensitive information such as login credentials or financial information.

Here are some steps you can take if you receive this warning:

  1. Do not proceed: If you receive a warning from Google, do not proceed to the website in question. Instead, close the tab or window and do not enter any personal or sensitive information.

  2. Check the website's reputation: You can use Google's Safe Browsing Site Status tool to check the reputation of the website. This tool will tell you whether the website has been reported for phishing, malware, or other harmful activity.

  3. Scan your device for malware: If you have visited the website in question, it is a good idea to scan your device for malware using a reputable antivirus software.

  4. Report the website: If you believe that the website in question is legitimate and has been incorrectly flagged, you can report the issue to Google using their Help Center.
