Renew expired domain
Hi, I let my domain expire by accident, and am now trying to renew it. I'm getting a message saying it can't be done automatically and need to contact weebly support.
I'm most concerned about some of the pdfs and content I have 'stored' on the site which I'd like to retrieve.
Can anyone help?
Thanks! Holly

Thanks for that info, @DJDzlBelize. The domain has been renewed and should start working again in a couple hours.

I am getting the following message when I try to publish my website (www.quantracy.com😞 "Your new domain is not yet setup. Please allow 48 hours for the setup process to complete." I have reached out to Weebly Support every day since Dec. 1, 2019 and have not gotten any response or help.
My account has one free domain credit. Please advise as to how I can get my website back up ASAP.
Thank you!!

It looks like you processed a chargeback on the renewal of your domain, so that service was removed from your account. What you paid for more recently was the "Connect" plan; that's good since you need to have your site upgraded to a paid plan in order to use a custom domain with it. However, in order to reactivate the domain name service we need to charge you for the cost of the domain renewal.
If the card you have saved for your account is fine for that then I can process that for you and reactivate your domain name.

Thanks, Adam! So I can't use my "free domain credit" to reactivate my domain?

Yes, a free domain credit should get used automatically for that during checkout.

Hi Adam, Do you know why my free domain credit isn't automatically renewing my domain (www.quantracy.com)? Or what steps I need to take? Thank you!!

I think this is because the domain name expired; after we received the chargeback we removed the service from your account, and it then expired since the service was no longer active. You should be able to extend and pay for a year to reactivate the domain, though. Once you've done that you could use the credit to add an additional year for free, I think.

When I log in I don't see a way to renew my domain, so can you do it on your end? Can you charge it on the CC on file? Thank you!

Hi @tq415 Can you please click your name in the right hand corner, then Account>My Services and tell me if you are able to click the "extend" button. Thanks!
