Remove Google Adsense

I accidentally added Google Adsense to my blog and I want to remove it, because there is a constant popup for Google Adsense dead center in the middle of the page making it difficult to edit the text.

Many thanks!

I've removed the Adsense element for you, @closeproximity, so you should be able to edit now without the popup showing up.

I'm having the same issue. On my website on my specific digital journal blog page whenever we open it to edit it the google adsense authorize message opens. I can't find the element on my side, can you please remove it? Thanks.

There was an Adsense element in the sidebar of the blog which I removed, so you shouldn't see the prompt now @RobotsRFun.

@Adam, Can you remove Google Adsense from my site as well, DSimpsonBooks. I was manually removing ads from posts and pages because I couldn't find how to remove them all at once, ha.

Thank you.

There isn't actually a way to remove them all at once, @GlutenFree. I didn't get a popup about connecting adsense when I checked your site, though. Did you remove them yourself?

Looks like you just had one Adsense element in your sidebar, @threebabykisses. You shouldn't see a prompt to connect to Adsense now.

Hey I seem to have the same problem. I deleted all the ads but on the website they pop up in the middle of the page. Is there any way you could delete adsense completely from my website?

Were you able to remove that, @sgtumlin? I don't see a Google ad when I visit that website.

Hey Adam,

I did remove the AdSense link; however, now there is a HUGE space between my header and my photographs or start of my content on each page. The ads don't show up anymore, but now the space is huge and I cannot figure out how to close the gap.

Please note: it doesn't happen or show up when you edit, but when you click on the actual website and go to each page, you see my header, menu, HUGE white space and you have to scroll down to see the rest of my web content.

It happened after I removed the Google Adsense.

Thanks for any help as it looks really bad to customers when they see the website like this.

CHeers!

I added google adsense on my website but my google account is hacked and now i want to change my google adsense on weebly website but i am unable to change it. Whenever i am changing new adsense account i am geeting this notification:

"You currently have another site under review with AdSense. Please go to AdSense and check the status of this review. After the review is finished, come back here to accept this new association."

How to fix this issue?

Hello,

I'm having the same issue with my weebly site.

I've accidently added "google adense" to my website using the editor - by accidently I mean I was trying things out and was fully convinced it was just an element I'd be able to delete later -  and  now I always get an annoying pop up every time I want to edit the site or post anything new.

I can't find the element anywhere on my blog, so I cannot delete it at all. In the published version there's nothing to be seen, because I don't have adsense (did not activate it with anything), it's just that pop up that keeps showing up.

Could you please delete it for me so that alert stops popping up? I don't want google adsense at all and I can't bear to add more things to my website with that thing still there. It's super annoying.

My blog is: https://fugadeletras.weebly.com/

Thank you in advance!

Hi @flaviavic This is definitely strange! I don't believe I have ever come across this before, and I also was unable to find Google Adsense anywhere in the site. Have you tried clicking the "authorize" button? There should be a way to cancel or remove the prompt if you proceed with the authorize flow.

The only other suggestion I have is to reach out to the support team directly. A rep may need to escalate this to the advanced support team for investigation.

You can reach the team by scrolling to the bottom of our Help Center and clicking the contact us button. Once you see the automated chat window try typing something like "speak with a rep" to be directed to the teams available to your account.

Hello

Yes, I tried following the "authorize" option, but without any results. I tried it again now and deleted the account in the google adsense, just to see if that was the issue, but that prompt still appears every time I go to the main page in the edit section. I can't do anything there blogwise because it keeps appearing and it is incredibly annoying and frustrating that I can't fix it.

I want to improve my blog and add other things to it, even creating a custom domain, but as it stands I just cannot bring myself to do it.

I'll follow your advice and continue seeking help to solve this issue.

Thank you for trying anyway.

UPDATE: The problem was solved after I followed the advice to contact the help chat. Super helpful. I'll post the solution here, just in case someone has the same issue:

I couldn't find the adsense anywhere on the blog in order to remove it, but it was indeed there (that's why the prompt kept appearing). I deleted a very small invisible box (nothing on it written - at least nothing appeared for me on firefox, it may have a description of adsense when using chrome) and it worked!
I had assumed that white box (very easy to miss) was a section to maintain distance between parts, but in reality it was the place for the adsense. I only had to delete that and problem solved! It does not show up anymore!
