How to delete a button on a page
Several years ago, I created a button on a page in my church website to link to another website. Recently, the linked website is removed. So I deleted the link and now need to delete the button. But I can't find a way to delete the button. If someone knows how to do so, please reply. Thank you.

Hi there. You should be able to just hover over the element in the editor and click the x in the top left border. Can you post a link to the page with the button you are trying to delete? We can confirm if you are having trouble deleting.

I'm having the same problem. There is no 'x' to click anywhere around the button. I also keep seeing filler text above the button that doesn't appear when I'm on the actual website. Can you help? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Hi @GitgoFilms You should see the X when you hover over the section. Can you confirm the site and page name, and include a screenshot of the content you are trying to delete?

Hi Bernadette - thanks for the reply. It's gitgoproductions.weebly.com and the button is on the home page. When I'm in edit mode it also shows filler text that doesn't appear there when I go to the site. Here's a screenshot.

Hi there @GitgoFilms
It looks like your site is using a custom theme which can sometimes cause the site to not run properly. I recommend changing back to a standard Weebly theme to see if that resolves the issue

Is that the only way to fix it then? Thank you - a bit frustrating considering I just updated a few things.

@GitgoFilms Since it is custom HTML, that is what we recommend making adjustments to the website.
