Hello, I have a square terminal and ipads with square for restaurants and kds. I would like to see a way to connect the terminal like one can with POS so that i can use it as a front customer facing tool to see the order, total and they can select tips and pay. How can this be done with orders put in on the square for restaurants pos I pad?

You can follow the steps for connecting your Square Terminal to your Point of sale here in this Support Article. However, the Square Terminal cannot be used as a Customer Display with Square for Restaurants or Square for Retail**. This would be considered a feature request. Although this feature isn’t currently available with Square, it’s a great idea and I can see how it would be beneficial to your business.

Here it says you can use the Terminal as a 2nd Screen for the Square Stand here is the article:

There is even a video how to connect them for the POS, but will this work for Square for Retail or Restaurants or just the POS system?

Hi there, @Candlestore thank you for politely correcting me here. This must be something that changed when we released the newer version of the Square Stand. My apologies for the misinformation, @meighenp 😓

Square for Retail POS and Square for Restaurant POS cannot be connected as a secondary customer display with Square Terminal. This feature is only available for Square Point of Sale (the standard version of Square).
