I only received part of my deposit. Where is the rest of the money?  The total from reports is correct but the total deposit is off by hundreds of dollars

I think if your deposit is off by hundreds of dollars my bet is you hit the End of Day and took payments after that. If you haven't changed your end of day settings, it defaults to 6pm PST. Any sales you take after that will show on the daily sales report but the deposit will come on the following day.

For example, if you have $500 in credit card sales today but $200 of that was after 6pm, your deposit will be for $300 (less fees). Tomorrow's deposit will be whatever you run in cards before 6pm plus the $200 from after 6 today (less fees).

If you want to update your End of Day settings, on the dashboard go to Account & Settings -> Business Information -> Transfers. Choose your location (if applicable) then scroll down to the list of days with the Close of Day section. You can update it all here.
