Returning to the main screen once a customer adds an item to the cart?
In the online store, it has been brought to my attention that customers are taken right back to the item page when they hit "continue shopping" from the cart. Is there a reason this doesn't link back to the main screen? They have already added the item to their cart, and want to keep shopping the main screen. I see there is a home link in the top left corner once they are back on the item screen, but it's an extra step that seems unnecessary.

Hmmm. That doesn't sound right. Is this occurring in your Online Store, or by sending your customers Checkout Links?

@isabelle - I've definitely experienced the same thing when using a direct link to an item in the new Online Store (not a checkout link). When you go to the direct page of an item, and add that to the cart, it keeps you on the item page and does not return you to the main shop page.
If you are the main shop page and using the site layout where Lightboxes appear, only then will it bring you back to the main shop page after you add it to your cart.

I checked with our Online Store Team - for now, this is expected but we're actively working on changing this behavior.

I had similar issue. Changing the layout, resolved the problem.

Isabelle_ It's while they are shopping the online store, they select an item from the main page, add to their cart, the cart pops up, and the continue shopping link just takes them back to the item page. Thanks!
