Resolved: Community settings may appear in Spanish

Good morning! 

We've noticed that some sellers' language preferences in the Community have been changed to Spanish and some notification emails are also being sent in Spanish. We're investigating this issue right now and working to fix it as quickly as we can. 

 

I'll post again here when this has been fully resolved. 

 

In the meantime, you can change your language preferences back to English following these steps

 

1. Click on your profile name in the upper right of the screen > click Mi Configuarciòn

2. From the next screen click Preferencias and then click on "Español" to make changes.

3. From the dropdown select "Inglés (EE.UU.)" and then click Guardar Cambios to save your changes.

Update: Our engineering team has identified the cause of this issue and implemented a fix. 

 

If your settings are still displayed in Spanish please sign out of the Community and then sign back in. When you sign back in your settings will automatically revert to English or your preferred language.

This morning I logged into my account to make a few additions to my website. When I logged in a bit later all was in Spanish. I can't find any current information in the HELP section that addresses this - only something from 2018 - and those directions appear to be out of date and not work with the way the site editor works now.

You can update the site language for the Square Online dashboard in the bottom right corner of the dashboard page. You should see a dropdown to change the language. 😊

 

Please let us know if you have trouble updating the language setting, and we'll take a closer look. Thanks!
