Original Square set up on Android won't work on iPhone

When I originally received my Square, probably 7 years ago, I used it on my Android phone. I can't seem to get it to work on my iPhone, but it will work on my tablet. Any suggestions on how to make it work on my iPhone?

I’m actually surprised that your original reader is working on your tablet! That original reader was replaced as the technology improved. It shouldn’t be working at all!

Head over to Square’s hardware store

and order up a new reader. There shouldn’t be any problems on your phone or tablet with the new reader. (Please note that you may need to get a lightning port reader for your phone now depending on the model of phone)
