Is there an option to charge tax on the retail price, not the discounted price?

I'm a direct sales distributor and I pay full tax when I buy the product. I want to charge full tax when I sell the product too, even when I give a discount to the customer. Is there a way to do that? Right now when I give a discount it's discounting the tax amount too.

Hey @TotalLipCoverag, welcome to the seller community and thanks for bringing this up. At this time, discounts are set up to be applied before taxes. While we are tracking this request, there isn't a way to charge the full tax when you sell a discounted product (without calculating the appropriate total manually).

I'll be sure to share your post with our Product Liaison team as we're working to improve based on seller feedback. Thank you for your patience — we'll follow up with this thread as soon as more updates are available.

@thebrainlair At this time tax will be applied to the sale amount after the discount. If you can let me know why feature is important to your business it'll help us to advocate for this for you!

I have this same problem. Arkansas requires that sales tax is charged on the retail price of the item and not the discounted price.
