Is there a way to attach a virtual terminal payment to an outstanding invoice?

Sometimes I have a customer that will call up and still want to make a payment over the phone (Virtual Terminal) even though they have an invoice that has been sent, possibly outstanding.  Is there a way to attach that payment to the invoice?  I tried to attach payment by clicking "other" but then the system read it as 2 payments.  One for the virtual terminal payment and one for the invoice that payment was recorded as "other" which in fact only one payment was actually made.

@proexterminator There's not a way at the moment to link a Virtual Terminal payment to an Invoice. This is currently a feature request.

 

What you could do in this situation is input the customer's card information in the POS when they call to give you their payment information. You can check out Sean's answer on how to accept a credit card payment via the app. Except when you go to select the payment method, you'll choose Manual Credit Card Entry and input the customer's card info so that it applies to the invoice.
