Just curious, if the system is comparable with iOS 9.3.5 and up, why is my iPad 2 which runs that iOS excluded from the list of comparable devices? I have an iPhone X, so I can run the contactless chip reader.... but I wanted to use the iPad in crowder situations as it is much easier to keep an eye on.

The iPad 2 uses an older version of Bluetooth that isn't compatible with the contactless reader.
You can pick up a dock that can plug into the USB ports on the stand. If you're not using a Square Stand for the iPad 2 though, you're out of luck.

the iPad 2 does not have the version of Bluetooth necessary. the iPad 2 only supports the Bluetooth 2.1 spec, but all iPads after the 2 support the Bluetooth 4.0 spec which is necessary.

I was just curious since both devices are linked and the app loaded across the board! There was no info about the Bluetooth compatibility on the devices page... I can use the little plug in reader if I need it, if I’m no mistaken.... so , I’m okay with it. I was given the phone by a customer for the express purpose of taking cc payment.. And so it will be. Thanks, L
