When I create an item in my Square register that has a single price point with multiple modifier options, viewing my report that breaks down sales for the day does not show which options that a customer chose with their purchase. For example, I have an $8 lunch special where a customer gets to pick two pieces of chicken (breast, keel, leg, thigh, wing), a side (fries or coleslaw), and a drink (bottled water, Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, Dr. Pepper). When I click on the item on the register point of sale, the next screen allows me to select their choices. Each choice is represented by a modifier category I created. Chicken is one modifier, sides are the second modifier, and drinks are the third one. When I select each option for the customer, the choices all show up in the cart with the item breakdown with tax, and they print out in that same manner on the ticket order.
The issue I'm having is that when I go back to look at reports for the day, it will just show that I sold, for example, 23 $8 lunches. It will not break down what pieces each person chose, their side selection, or drink selection. How can I set up the item to display this information in the report breakdown without having to ring up each item separately?
