How to setup order text reminders

I'm using Square online Order, how do I setup order text reminders ?

Hey @npham1110!

 

At the time- there's not an option for text reminders. Just emails.

 

Your other option is that you can download the Weebly app and get app notifications for orders there as well if that's easier to manage!

can you please show me how to send email reminder besides the email sent out to tell customers it’s ready for pick up?

 

also I thought I saw the “text reminder” new functionality release, Am I reading it by mistake? 

I have installed the app, but the notification will only to notify us as owner, what would be the way to notify customers more than one time? They keep coming to us and said that they never received email or text 😞

@npham1110 Sorry for the confusion there! I reached out and text reminders do actually send to customers to let them know their order is ready for pickup if they opt in for them at Checkout and put their phone number for it.

Hello @SNGrower! We don't have a bulk text reminder option right now. However, take a look here where another sellers mentions one of our Square partners who does offer it!

Hi @nika, I have a couple concerns regarding text reminders.

 

1. The format of the text reminders. I just did a test transaction today on my website. I did not receive the Order Alert text until 7 hours later. In addition, what should be an actual link is not being recognized by my text massaging app (Pulse on android) as an actual link. I don't know if that is something that can be changed in terms of ensuring that hyperlink formatting is retained, but it severely reduces the efficacy of that function.

 

2. My business did not use the Square order processing tracking in the past, but we want to now. Unfortunately, there are thousands of orders that we want to remove from the queue without notifying customers, but I'm unable to do that. If I click "Bulk edit" and select all and mark them as shipped, I will be getting calls for days from customers who received the items long ago and are concerned about double-charging. It would be great if I could TEMPORARILY DISABLE the text and email alerts EVEN TO CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE OPTED IN.
