Hi @Arthur43. Welcome to the Community. I’m going to combine answers to both of your posts — including this one — here.
Here’s a link to a LegalZoom article with initial steps for setting up a business. It should get you started. You’ll also find that your state and your county/city haves information about specific licenses and such that you’ll need to get, depending on what kind of business you are wanting to start.
While you can set up an LLC yourself, I wouldn’t recommend it. If at all possible, find a local attorney or business group that can guide you. In my city, there is a Business Council that actually offers resources and services to help get new businesses up and running legally. They know all of the state and local guidelines and laws, which helps a lot. SCORE is also a great resource that will meet with you and even assign you a mentor to help you through what can be a confusing process. You can find their national website here. They’ll even help you with things like bookkeeping, taxes, and such.
Let me know if you need anything else. But that should give you a good idea of where to start.

Was my post helpful? Take a moment to mark it as a possible "best answer." I hate the term, and wish we could just mark posts as "helpful." But this is our only mechanism at the moment. Just remember "Best answer" should be interpreted as "helpful," and nothing more. LOL. "Best" (ugh) answers help folks possibly find solutions to similar problems they are hoping to solve.
